Regenesis: Colloidal Carbon for in-situ Remediation of PFAS

Dr. Kristen Thoreson, Carlos Ortiz, and Ryan Moore of Regenesis will present a review of multiple case studies for in-situ remediation of PFAS using colloidal activated carbon.  The presentation reviews the PlumeStop technology, how it works to address PFAS in groundwater, the design criteria and requirements to develop a remedial CSM, and data from multiple field sites where colloidal activated carbon has been utilized to remediate PFAS contamination in groundwater. Further important questions, including the ability to distribute the colloidal activated carbon in the subsurface, the long-term efficacy, and design considerations, will also be addressed.
