 ions about EPA's "Transparency" Rule.\n\nIn an effort to boost transparenc
 y\, the Environmental Protection Agency plans to place restrictions on the
  research it will consider in developing regulations. The new rule will ex
 clude scientific studies that are not publicly available in a manner suffi
 cient for independent validation. The move prompted an uproar from scienti
 sts who are concerned that the rule may undermine the EPA’s ability to p
