 National Enforcement &amp\; Compliance Initiatives - David Cozad\n\nDavid 
 Cozad will discuss the six priority areas selected by US EPA as National E
 nforcement &amp\; Compliance Initiatives (NECIs) for Fiscal Years 2024-202
 7. Each of these six NECIs address an environmental and public health chal
 lenge\, the kind of challenge that is difficult to tackle without addition
 al resources and a concerted national effort.  All of the initiatives inc
 orporate environmental justice considerations to ensure that the benefits 
 of our Nation’s environmental laws can be shared by everyone living in t
 he United States. Taken together\, these initiatives comprehensively addre
 ss significant environmental problems across media: air\, water\, and toxi
 cs. Using the full scope of EPA’s enforcement and compliance tools to co
 nfront the most significant public health and environmental challenges wil
 l help protect vulnerable and overburdened communities and promote a susta
 inable future.\n\nMr. Cozad is the Director of the Enforcement and Complia
 nce Assurance Division for EPA Region 7 in Kansas City. He started in that
  position in October 2019. Prior to that\, he was the Regional Counsel for
  EPA Region 7 for twelve years\, where he was responsible for leading the 
 Region’s 45-person legal office. He recently had three six-month tempora
 ry details at EPA HQ in Washington\, D.C.\, serving in senior leadership p
 ositions during the last two presidential transitions. Mr. Cozad has been 
 with EPA Region 7 for thirty-one years\, and prior to that\, he worked wit
 h the Department of Justice in Washington D.C.\, on environmental enforcem
 ent matters. He has a B.B.A. in Economics from James Madison University an
 d a law degree from the College of William and Mary.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nOnl
