 rgy:\nSustainability\, specifically how it breaks down into the three pill
 ars of Environmental\, Social\, and Governance (ESG) issues\, is critical 
 to a business in today’s market.  Employees\, Customers\, Shareholders\
 , and our Communities are more informed and more interested in engaging wi
 th companies that look beyond profit and have sharpened their mission\, vi
 sion\, and values to also focus on social and environmental aspects of the
 ir business.  I’ll discuss some of Evergy’s programs and initiatives 
 that support this ESG framework with a heavy focus on our Green Team progr
 am.  Formed in 1989\, the Green Team is an employee-led volunteer group o
 f employees and retirees from across our service territory that take on pr
 ojects that benefit the environment and promote stewardship and education.
   Completing 50 to 70 projects per year on weekends and evenings\, the Gr
 een Team collaborates with conservation groups\, agencies and schools in e
 nhancing and fostering an understanding of the environment.\n\n&nbsp\;\nDa
 wn Hein\, Environmental Consultant II\, Environmental\, Social &amp\; Gove
 rnance\, Evergy\nDawn Hein has worked for Evergy for 10 years as an enviro
 nmental consultant. For most of that time she worked on Clean Water Act co
 mpliance including NPDES permitting and reporting\, water rights and water
  use\, and Section 404 permitting. She now works full time on ESG (environ
 mental social and governance). She is a K-State grad with a bachelor’s i
 n mechanical engineering\, and is a licensed environmental engineer. She l
 oves reading\, baking\, traveling\, camping and hunting with her husband a
 nd their two bearded bird dogs.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nIf you are paying by che
