 Cannabis and hemp production is spreading rapidly throughout the country a
 nd vertically integrated companies are emerging with broad cultivation\, m
 anufacturing\, and distribution networks. The industry is a unique mixture
  of agricultural\, industrial\, and commercial activities which are accomp
 anied by novel environmental challenges as well\, including: odor &amp\; a
 ir quality management\, wastewater handling and disposal\, solid waste dis
 posal\, and high energy consumption. SCS has been working intensively with
  the cannabis industry for two years and has several insights to share as 
 the industry proliferates throughout the nation.\nTia Jeter\, P.E. -  Pro
 ject Advisor\, SCS Engineers\n\nMs. Jeter is a registered Professional Eng
 ineer and a Project Advisor with SCS Engineers.  She has over seventeen y
 ears of experience in the environmental compliance field focusing predomin
 antly on air compliance for chemical\, agricultural\, and solid waste faci
 lities.  Ms. Jeter has recently been involved in the development and cert
 ification of Odor Management Plans for the cannabis industry.\n\nNathan Ea
 dy\, AICP -  Project Director &amp\; Vice President\, SCS Engineers \nMr.
  Eady is a Project Director and Vice President at SCS Engineers where he m
 anages a variety of land use planning and regulatory compliance projects. 
 He has 20 years of experience with permitting and subsequent operations ma
 nagement for complex facilities including oil and gas infrastructure\, hyd
 rogen production and distribution infrastructure\, and cannabis.\n\n\n\n\n
