Ryan Pulkrabek will present on the growing concern and emphasis on vapor intrusion by highlighting EPA’s proposal to list a contaminated site to the Superfund’s National Priorities List based solely on subsurface intrusion into occupied structures following EPA’s recent rule establishing subsurface intrusion as a new component of the Hazard Ranking System, the principal mechanism for placing contaminated sites on the NPL. Ryan will also step outside of the legal realm to discuss a recent study identifying commonly used household goods as contributing more greatly to air pollution than vehicles
